Sun-Shiny Day

I cannot be compelled to care about anything except the weather outside right now. Oh, and Love. Spring. Happiness. Sunniness.

BONHEUR!

My french test this morning went relatively well. I often feel like my head is swarming in a sea composed of "iez" and "puisse". Maybe a little "sache" too.

My Swahili final exam essay composition, however, is going less well. And to think I've spent so much time working on it, and it's still not done... bah.

I did get a lot of sun wandering through the craft fair on campus today.

As soon as I'm done with all of this hullabaloo with school, I have an entry looming about my excellent weekend filled with College Shennanigans -- all thanks I guess to [livejournal.com profile] alexsirkman who amuses me endlessly. Which he knows. Everyone knows. Especially Junior.

I've bought my plane tickets to see [livejournal.com profile] lauren_lief graduate in May. I'll be flying into Cleveland [nods pointedly at [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna, [livejournal.com profile] justbeast, and [livejournal.com profile] grailquestion] and then driving to Wheeling.

Additionally, I'd like to take my mom somewhere nice for Mother's Day and want to make reservations now, and would love suggestions for nice places to go. We once went to the Palm Room at the Plaza for brunch on Mother's Day, and that sort of environment would be what I'd attempt to emulate.

Danielle X found the song that wed groaned along to on the way back from Atlantic City. So, without further ado, I present Journey:

For the curious, I've got an April 2007 photoset newly uploaded to Flickr that includes Friday's romp in the park. It does not, however, include photos from Saturday's blood-filled escapades in honor of Cthulhu. I don't know who has those. Although I still haven't quite worked all the strawberry syrup out of my hair.
aren't you excited now for that weekend entry? Yea, me too

Also, welcome to new friend [livejournal.com profile] shack_a_nerd, who [livejournal.com profile] infd will remember as Ponytail Guy from the Blip Festival last year. I ran into him at Genericon and told him I'd taken a photo of him and gave him my Flickr name. It's proof that indeed, the internet is a teeny, tiny place.
