Even though it meant putting off making our gingerbread house for another night, going to the Pornography Debate at UMD, featuring none other than Ron Jeremy was really fantastically fun.

Liz called me around quarter of 5 on her *cellphone* and told me about it, causing me to immediately want to stop working and get excited to have plans.

She came and picked me up at the office and we walked over in the cold to Discovery to collect Jesse. Jesse had some stuff to do, so we got to sit and chat, which was nice, and when he finally did come down he was nice enough to offer to go and get the car since he was parked so far away and drive back to pick us up.

We got over to UMD in good time -- the doors were opening at 6:30 and we got there just as they had opened. The auditorium was packed. I'm told more people showed up than did on the day Omar graduated. hee hee.

We did manage to find decent seats, though, and we settled in. It was sort of a wait, and an interesting view: the cornucopia of posers and yuppies at UMD. *giggle* There were these "punk" girls sitting behind us with their vinyl purses and GAP fishnet stockings. They *all* had tiny petite la bret piercings and tiny petite noserings. It was good for a giggle. Lots and lots of frat guys were there. Oodles. Liz made her sign and I got to finish an excellent book, Girl with a Pearl Earring ... I doubt most people will read it, so I won't post a review, but I will say, to anyone who's contemplating reading it: DO. It was so worth it!

FINALLY, Ron Jeremy and his opponent came out. Fuck -- Barbara is back. I'll have to pick up later. Stupid front desk duty.

I do actually intend to finish it. I'm way too exposed at work to do a proper entry - and never have energy at home to! But rest assured, I do have plans to finish!
