What is up with people untagging themselves from photos in Facebook? Why did I go to the trouble of uploading funny old photos if they're just going to bury them in Facebook etiquette anyway?
I personally do like to be tagged in photos, but this is something that I think it's best to secure permission for in advance. Anyone reading this hereby has blanket permission to tag me.
And if my boss wanted to friend me in facebook I would be like "dealing with mental trauma from any gay innuendo you may come across is entirely your own responsibility, and with that said, sure, I'll friend you."
Oh yeah, and some people I know are, uh, academic professionals using pseudonyms, and I have it on good authority that the academic world is very friendly and welcoming until you get your PhD, and then instantly becomes extremely cutthroat. So these people are probably the most wary of real names that I've ever seen anyone, because they don't want somebody dragging up details of their private life in order to block their careers.
