Il Pleut
This town seems so strange and unnatural when it rains. A summer, tropical destination, the palm trees shiver in the cold and wind and the sky is so icy gray that it hurts to look up.
I ate lunch out by the pool today anyway. I've learned already that the selection of vegetarian/vegan things up in the room is: salad and fruit. But at the pool, the menu is a bit more diverse.
There's a brilliance to the air regardless, and I smell the deliciousness of rosemary in the air, damp and pungent. I realize how much I love the smell, and resolve to plant lots of rosemary in my Imaginary Future Garden/Yard™

In completely separate news, I will not be stranded in Europe, much to the relief of people I was on AIM with today. I found a trip home, about $250 more than I was hoping to spend, but I also got my trips to Madrid and Germany settled.
Unfortunately, due to time/money constraints, I had to cut London out of my trip (cries in the arms of
faeriecween). I'd thought I could get cheaper flights out of London to the US, or at the very least, Richard Branson would spirit me away in his pocket and I'd get home safe and sound, but unfortunately, the cheapest flight I found when looking at flights from Berlin, Madrid AND London came out of Berlin. So, it'll be my last stop.
Here's my schedule
1-8th June -- Florence, Italy
8-12th June -- Madrid, Spain
12-15th June -- Berlin, Germany
I'm excited, though today was a bit stressful. I'm glad I stayed home in the rain and got stuff done, but I was worried for a bit that I'd be unable to find a ticket home for less than a trillion gillion dollars.
