Another happy entry!!!
We had a big talk the other day and lots of things were resolved. You know, I should really learn that if there are things that I need to know, I should just ask. And then you know! And then life gets easier :)
Friday night, Bryce was having a party for Sylvie on his new boat and for once, their little clique invited me (and Jackie C.) and I was actually contemplating going, but considering it, I found that there were infinite things I'd rather do. Besides, those assholes don't come to my parties :) Bitterness is a fuzzy mantle. wheeee!
Chris was dying for us to go hang out with his friend Lars but we both decided that we'd rather have QT. And it was so nice. There was this thunderstorm outside, and the windows were open, and i could hear the rain and the lightning flashed across the sky, dousing my bedroom in iridescent blue light. Everything tasted like blue. It was very intense.
The comfort of sleep. Of comfortable, intimate sleep. I am happy. I slept well, and when we woke up around 4 am, I was full of The Groggy Slogs of Happy Sleep. Free crust around the eyes included with every meal!
Saturday morning faced the perils of Driver's Ed. The teacher finally decided to give me some slack; realizing that the class is painfully boring and easy for me. The 3 hours passed about as slowly as a gallstone, and finally it was over.
Had fun plans ... uh, planned with Moti and Mindy. Moti came over, ate my spring rolls, and we watched funny Buffy goodness. Mindy finally woke up and called, and came and got us and we went to the gym. I've discovered the newness of Gossip Fun at the gym. You get on the machine next to your chosen Chat Buddy and just talk about lascivious naughtiness while you sweat it up. Certainly gets the blood pumping! w00t!
After that, we walked over to the new "Silver Sprung" downtown area to the new "Majestic" theater, which, unsurprisingly, was worlds nicer than Shitty Place, to see Shrek 2.
Moti had read mixed reviews about it, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I'll say this: it's better than Shrek 1 and it's for a very specific reason. With 3 words.
I recall all my prior fandom and say that I am Puss in Boots' #1 FanGirl. I plan to go to Arundel Mills today and buy some appropriate plush toys. Preferably with Boots. Mmmm... boots. *drool*
I just went out and walked Jarry and there are people washing their cars to catchy music and dancing, much like a Will Smith video. I feel like I should be organizing a game of kickball in the parking lot. Or double dutch. It's so sunny; the weather is infectious. Not in the gross, zicadas covering your body way, though.
After the movie, I went home and Mason came over to teach me the wisdom of not drunkify-ing both parrots in Escape From Monkey Island. He's so good :) He managed to convince me to throw his watermelon-splattered jeans into my own wash load. I'm such a sucker for nakedity.
I woke up this morning happy and sunny. And... very early. Season 4 of Buffy is enticing and entertaining (thank you, Chris). I also realized that my first layer of paint on my oil painting was mostly dry, so I went to work on the second layer: the main figure. I spent a good 20 minutes mixing paints to achieve my perfect color, and was pleasingly successful! Considering also the content of the painting (the mural from my dream where the woman's right breast is exposed), I had to do my boob-shading/blending now, and it turned out wonderfully! The mixing of colors and the ability to have more than one shade and tone on the brush at one time is enormously pleasing -- now I just have to wait for additional drying and mayhaps I will have a finished product eventually :)
Ooo! Gotta go. Celebration to be had with Moti. Yay Graduation! Must hurry. Will finish later.
