I can't believe it, really, that in less than 48 hours I will already BE on a flight back to the USA. There's just one more passport stamp to go...
Tonight, Annie and Lizzie wanted me to do something festive to celebrate, so I'm pondering the options. There's been a bit of an exodus, and lots of people have left, so I feel sort of weird even though I think just an evening with a small crowd would make me happy.
I repacked yesterday too, so I have to convince British Airways that my huge external frame hiking pack is, in fact, a carry-on bag. My other two bags are pretty full, probably less than 30 kilos, but definitely would never be confused for carryons.
To aid in my deception, Richard offered to help me take the external frame apart, so that maybe the bag will look less huge.
I'd wonder aloud how I'd accrued so much crap, but I think it's a rhetorical question for anyone who knows me.
PLUS, I have gifties! Gifties gifties.
I hope I can hack the states. School orientation starts the 28th of August...
