I'm at the finish line. Though, if I'm honest, I feel like I've been at the finish line for days now. It's just a really, really wide ribbon that I need to cross.

Seriously, there are oodles of days that have gone by since I arrived, and I wonder how I've managed to get so much done and yet still not be done.

[livejournal.com profile] pattiejoe and [livejournal.com profile] meli123's wedding, however, was beautiful and the (as of yet untagged and unrotated, etc) photos are here.

I've enjoyed, I'll admit, seeing some of the things I've kept over the years. I basically have every letter I've ever received. Lots of notes I wrote in classes. Digital packrat, yes. Literal packrat, also yes.

*takes a bow*

One day, for my autobiography, it'll be useful!

I feel terrible that I've been here all this time and haven't really seen any one of my friends here. Of course I saw people at the wedding. Mason got drunk and we danced crazy (see photos). In general, being with the familiar faces was reassuring at what I perceive to be a usually stressful situation. Not only was the fact that Pat was getting married mind-boggling (understand it's the change in familiarity more than anything else, of course I knew he'd be married one day) but the religious service in the church was awkward, because I seemed to be the only person not doing the responses, or kneeling, or taking communion.

Which did make me wonder how much peer pressure plays into religious services...

In other notes, I'm going to try and be in New York tomorrow. Do people have any plans for Harry Potter this coming weekend? Group movie-viewing?

I'm so out of it. And nomadic. I guess I'm ready to go back to New York...
