Even more funny is that, I've seen live cicadas and dead cicadas and the dead ones interest me more, but if I had to choose between a live dobsonfly and a dead dobsonfly, I think I'd choose the live one (excepting the ability of the female to bite). Why? I think I'd be intrigued because I've never seen anything like it before (much less heard of it before today, thank you, Laura). If it was like, a foot or so away or trapped in a jar, I'd totally be interested. But a huge freaky bug carcass? Just creepy. Thanks, tho -- it's been a long time since something creeped me out ;)
