Death to the Enemies!

Just had the most frustrating and hectic/crazy 4 hours at work. The issue: fucking PEACE DOVES. I hope they DIE.

I was assigned to create this book we can print off at Kinko's using Jane's copy and it's supposed to look nice but it's supposed to be DONE by July 14th. The catch? I'll be gone thru Tuesday morning, packing up my shit in New York.

I look at the copy, first and foremost, and it's FAR from printing-quality. Riddled with bad sentences, typos, mis-spellings and just plain old sloppiness, it needs work all on its own. I decide to use Word because of the time crunch. I do not have time to make 19 separate Adobe Illustrator documents. I just don't.

Word, however, decides to be a huge wank. It sort of operates like Windows itself (fuck you, Bill Gates) in that the more you add to it, the worse it works. Suddenly, my clearcut copy + pictures is repaginating to a total of 3,000 pages (the actual size should have been 19) and demanding that certain pictures hug the edge when there's NO godly reason they must. I finally push and pull and tug at it all day, minus doing some other stuff and finally, word dies. I can't use any of my tricks to get it to stop repaginating and being wanky. Nothing I do works. I scream. Actually.

Fuck. Jesse is here. I'll have to finish later.

See you in New York!
