To better my mood,
woofa convinced me to come to the movies with her, Debby & Lizzie (different Liz than Congo Liz)
We originally thought we'd see X-Men 3, but the theater showing it had no power, so we had to go to the only other theater inUganda Kampala in Garden City.
Our choices of movies for 2 pm were -- Shaggy Dog, starring *queasiness* Tim Allen, or ... from the director of TROY and THE PERFECT STORM! .... POSEIDON.
OH MY GOD IT WAS AWFUL. The ONLY redeeming factor was that Fergie died. EMMY ROSSUM, the wench from Phantom of the Opera, did not even die. What did I even pay money for?
I'll admit too that in some of the most "dramatic" moments, I couldn't help but laugh. How did Richard Dreyfuss end up in this pigslop? He plays a GAY MAN... "obvious" because... he's an architect! And he has a big diamond earring!
I'm also horribly disappointed that they dared to put him in a water-themed movie without including sharks. And at the end, when they were "rescued" ... I was pretty sure I didn't care.
Anyway, I'm sorry for the lack of real entries, but IPS is heating up, I moved to Rosie's house, and today is a Kampala day. I'll try to write something more substantial maybe tonight!
