Bullet Points of a Life
Oct. 25th, 2006 06:08 pmI've been so busy, and not just with school, either. Because I'm officially too busy to write it all down, or at least won't be free enough to write it in more-than-bullet form until this weekend. In fact, right now, instead of shivering as I type, I should be putting on clothes and skittering off to
sinboy and
rosefox's.
Which I want to do ASAP, so this'll be a quickie.
I sort of thought I had more, but really, I don't, and it's 6:35 and I really want to head uptown. Although getting dressed is unappealing. Foo, Oh well.

- I went to see Evil Dead:The Musical which was amazingly, surprisingly enjoyable. I think
lampbane summed it up best when she said, "It was everything I expected, and nothing I expected." And to clarify, it wasn't dumb or dance-crazy. It was blood-filled, and to add an extra twist of dork!excitement, it was co-directed by Hinton Battle, who fellow nerds will remember as being on the Buffy Musical Episode. It was fun to finally meet Little Claire too and hang with
reverend_dave,
penguinjunky,
corneredangel,
lampbane, Ian and Chris [whose LJs I don't know].
We eventually went to Dave & Buster's afterwards, despite my heels, and had some of the worst service ever. TWO bad. David also owes me $10 for thinking that Germaine Jackson sang "Rock With You." Fool. - I got 101/100 on my Swahili Midterm. And an A- on my French Oral Exam. I'm lucky with the oral exam, because I easily transitioned automatically into my shitty Congolese French when I started speaking quickly, in that I said what I wanted to say and made up the words I didn't know.
- I had awesome fun on Sunday with
regyt,
sinboy,
rosefox and
novalis renting a zipcar and heading out to Long Island for Apple Picking.
- I'm never taking 20 credits again. Any night I don't sit home and read becomes a night I've become behind, which is no way to live when you live in New York City. And have the awesome friends that I have. Registration is coming up for Spring term and I'm guesstimating that I'll go for around 12 credits instead. It'll mean I have time for myself.
- I'm desperately trying to squinch my money in order to get to Congo for Christmas & New Year's and see my kids and my friends and everything else. I wouldn't be able to go again forever and ever, and I just miss the traveling and the Africa and the people terribly.
