There are times when I love living in New York. Waking up to a thundering rainstorm, however wet it might make me, humbles New York as it cleanses.

Of course, everyone who goes to work on mornings with torrential downpours scurries for umbrellas and curses the delays on all of the subways.

But me, nestled in my apartment, or sitting on my fire escape -- I like it just fine.


I've also enjoyed Restaurant Week greatly thus far. There's something that makes you feel special about getting to sample some of the world's finest cuisine.

And it's always nice to honor the world's finest. For example, the Emmy's have nominated Dick In A Box. For an EMMY.

Rock On. In this scenario, what is Step 2?

My room is progressing, and my desk has arrived and I'm officially ready for school to begin. Sufficiently dirty, but motivated. Maybe that should be my tagline.

Additionally, in the We Love New York category, I've got an awesomely musical next few months coming up.

White Stripes next week, Black Crowes next month, and The Cure in September. All in concert, all for me to see!
