Don't Kiss Your Chips
Jan. 12th, 2004 05:48 pmEveryone thank Justin for bringing tired, skanky, gambler germs into the house :) Actually, it is *probably* my fault -- I was fawning over my chips at Foxwoods and they were probably covered in ebola.
Regardless, Justin got sick Monday-Thursday, and I got sick Friday, so expect me to sniffle and infect you if you see me from now until Wednesday.
Ha!
I was entirely of the species Dirtus Bag-icus (common name: Dirtbag) this weekend, as our heat was on the fritz so I wore my bunty suit (which, for those unaware, is a fleece one-piece pajama outfit that is very cute and has little feet with treads) and we pulled this tiny space heater from the basement and all crowded around it and I played Gauntlet Dark Legacy for hours and hours.
I am really enjoying the game, basically because it is the same as Legends in the arcade which anyone who met up with me at Columbia knows I played ad nauseum on my mother's FlexAccount Columbia card. The arcade version is actually a bit harder, and it's rather frustrating to get more health, because unlike being able to just put in money and press "start" I have to go through old levels and collect FOOD! Of course, this one doesn't COST money, but hey, FlexAccount dollars were never mine anyway. hehehe. I'm so spoiled.
So, I'm enjoying it. I haven't beat any of the big guys yet, but I'm really trying to build up my character first. Anyone who's interested in playing, let me know. It feels very old school (though certainly not as old school as Coby's version on his MAME) but it's still a hoot.
Sorry to
corneredangel that I missed Bubba Ho-Tep/Bruce Campbell on Friday --
I ended up going to bed at around 6 pm after watching The Shield, Season 2 on DVD. Which is incredibly good! I had missed it when it first aired since I'm a pansy and have trouble staying up til 11 pm on a regular night when I've been waking up early.
Ow. My nose is chapped.
