Flying Away

Well, I never imagined that I'd be in the office this long today, but well, one thing leading to another, and I'm waiting for the car to come back since it's pouring rain.
Carol left this morning at 6 am. She ended up flying to Bujumburo (in Burundi) and she'll be driving to Kigoma, Tanzania from there -- probably a 4-6 hour drive -- directly across Burundi. It should be pretty cool.
I made a list of everything I wanted to get accomplished before I left, and I'm pretty sure that I can get it all done. I guess I'm already trying to detach myself emotionally from some of the chimps -- realizing how soon I might be leaving is sort of a shock.
I also am trying to be industrious in planning my trip home (which is in a month) -- I reserved my rental car today and am perusing hotel deals for the time that I'm in Maryland. I also have no idea what to wear to the wedding -- I browsed through some dresses online, and came up with these three:
Number 1
Number 2
Number 3
The wedding is in upstate NY, on a Sunday, at 2 pm in April. Now, is April Spring-Colors time? Are browns and blacks too drab? Is red too slutty? How in the world does anyone ever know? I'd love people's opinions.
I think that the brown one might be the nicest for the occasion. I've amused myself thoroughly too by discovering Nu-Bra which I could wear with a halter dress or a strapless. The idea appeals to me, but you've gotta wonder what's wrong when your bra needs a Windows Media instructional video.
Also, I managed to get some more photos up into the Week Thirty Photoset. Haven't tagged them or anything, but people might enjoy them nonetheless.I've been in the office now for three days, and yet it's seemed very strange and uneventful. And isolating, as I've gotten to talk with far fewer people than usual.
Either way, it's back to the Chateau for me today, and probably not back in the office until Monday. Until then!
