It's this Lebanese restaurant that even has chicken dishes, and they make their own hummus and it's just delicious. Hurrah! Honestly, the biggest complaint of most of the expats here is that they're always craving a decent meal.
Not like I'm not going to gorge myself on Original Ray's Pizza when I get back to NYC. HA!
Anyway, we ate there last night -- Brad and Carol and I -- and amused ourselves with the DSTV music videos they had playing. I'm not entirely sure what the french ad was selling that blazed "envoie PUSSY pour SMS" but hey, I'm not one to judge.
Nor am I one to judge the girl speaking "English" waiting on us who asked me if I wanted a "Co-EE-kay" (commonly referred to as the elusive "Coca Cola"). If people made fun of my French here, I'd be sunk!
I will bemoan the utter crappiness of the internet today -- my efforts to upload recent, very adorable photos, have culminated in naught but failure. I did, however, succeed in uploading tiny first drafts of the No Chimps As Pets posters I made for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International (aka DFGFI). We decided that maybe "Don't Keep Chimps As Pets - They'll Rip Your Balls Off" wasn't the best message, so you can see for yourself what I came up with instead:
Both of the posters are 24x36 (or rather, one is 24x36 and the other is 36x24 inches)
Sorry that they're small -- just be glad I could upload them at all.
