I forgot to mention that, at Rita & Jeremy's fancy lunch yesterday, they wowed us with teas that they'd brought back from Japan!
They were in glass containers (bought in Kampala, funnily enough, at Uchumi) and all SORTS of choices!
It did make me want to go to China and get tea by the kilo -- especially after I sampled the licorice tea -- literally just putting these little flowers into my cup and pouring water in, and it was licorice! Delicious!
They had all sorts of other kinds too, but does anyone know if you can get tea like this (ie sans bag, etc) anywhere in the US? NY? Chinatown?
Somehow commercially packaged tea seems so much more inferior...
