How the fuck do people time manage? How does
rosefox work on her own time and not just spend all day farting around on the internet?
Every time I take a break writing this paper, one hour becomes two. I have to finish today. I have to!
I am SURROUNDED by completed research. Books, papers, everything highlighted and annotated. So why am I not writing more?
I'm about halfway done. I got an extension for my Tuesday paper to Wednesday. But it's what, 9 pm and I took my bath two hours ago and I should really keep moving forward and BLAH. All I want to do is bake cookies and watch Hustle.

Date: 2006-12-18 02:40 am (UTC)b) Alarm Clock Pro is also my friend. I limit myself to working in four-hour bursts with a one-hour break in between; when the back-to-work alarm goes off, I pay attention. It helps that I have it set to play a specific song for each type of alarm, so I'm slowly conditioning myself to want to work when I hear King Missile's "Take Stuff From Work" and so forth.
c) Environmental changes are my best friend. Leaving the house really helps. So do cold air and cold drinks, which keep me alert.
Hang in there. You can do it.
