Screaming In The Streets

I can't believe I'm writing this, but a marching band just went past the house. I did take some audio, just because it felt so surreal.
As it gets closer to the election, I'm getting more comfortable with the sounds of screaming in the street strangely as it were. I mean, people are excited and as the 32 candidates pass out alcohol to their constituents to encourage them to vote their way, people are bound to get rowdy.
It does make me glad that I don't have anywhere in particular to be today.
Edit 11:41 am
I just walked up the road with my camera to see what, exactly, was going on and why it merited a marching band. And it turns out that it was... an AIDS march? Cars, in a processional, and people, all looking very somber, while some trumpets/trombones/drums played. Weeeiiird
